Eco-friendly, Bright, Easy Wrapping
I have found a wrapping paper source that is easy, festive and eco-friendly. Rather than discarding old scarves, I save them in my wrapping drawer and pull one out whenever I have a gift to wrap. The large square ones tend to work best as they offer the most versatility and cover more surface area easily. However, I also save the long narrow ones and use them as ribbons to add more decoration to each present.
If you don’t have a ready supply of scarves from your early 2000 wardrobe, perhaps you have an older family member or friend in your life who has simply stashed their scarves in the back of a drawer, or check out thrift stores or tag sales come next spring. Each year I discover a few more and keep my collection growing.
Wrapping a gift simply requires selecting an appropriately sized scarf, placing the item in the center of the scarf and bringing up the four scarf corners to tie together. Voilà, in less than a minute and with no tape or paper, a brightly covered present is created!
